In looking at the array of weapons listed in the Blacksmith shop, I see that there are weapons available of 7 and 8 stars.
I've run through and defeated all of the adventure locations all the way through to Forbidden Planet Hard Difficulty but never seen anything higher than a 6-star weapon.
